For 17 years, I worked as a Surgical Technologist. I spent countless hours standing beside surgeons in the operating room, assisting with life-changing procedures, preparing sterile instruments, anticipating every step before it happened, and helping care for patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

It was a career I was incredibly proud of.

Working in surgery taught me discipline, precision, attention to detail, and the importance of doing things the right way the first time. There was no room for shortcuts, and those lessons would eventually become the foundation of how I formulate every Plush At Home product.

But after the birth of my son, something began to change.

The long hours, physically demanding days, and time away from my growing family no longer aligned with the life I envisioned. Although I still loved healthcare, I felt a quiet pull toward something different. I couldn't fully explain it then, but I knew God was leading me into a new season.

Around that same time, I began making simple soaps and lotions at home.

It wasn't a business.

I wasn't dreaming about building a brand or seeing my products on store shelves.

I was simply trying to take better care of my family.

With seven people in our home, buying hair care and skincare products for everyone became expensive. Even more challenging was finding products that actually worked. Each person had different needs, and there wasn't a single product on the shelf that could meet them all.

That's when my family became my greatest teachers.

Looking back now, I can see that God was preparing me long before Plush At Home ever existed.

Every challenge my family faced became another opportunity to learn.

Every question sent me back to my books.

Every obstacle inspired another formula.

Every success strengthened my purpose.

Our home became my laboratory.

My family became my research partners.

The same precision, patience, and attention to detail I practiced in the operating room naturally became part of every formulation I created. I wasn't interested in simply mixing ingredients together. I wanted to understand why every ingredient belonged in a formula and how each one contributed to the final product.

If it wasn't good enough for my family, it wasn't good enough for Plush At Home.

What began as simple soaps and lotions slowly grew into handcrafted hair care, skincare, body care, scalp care, and wellness products designed to help families care for themselves intentionally.

Today, Plush At Home is more than a business.

It's the story of a grandmother who inspired restoration.

A son who inspired curiosity.

A daughter who inspired healthier skin.

Another daughter who inspired whole-body wellness.

A husband who reminded me that healthy scalps matter.

And a mother who simply wanted to take better care of the people God entrusted to her.

When people ask why I create what I create, the answer is simple.

I'm not chasing trends.

I'm solving problems.

I'm creating the products I once searched for but couldn't find.

Every bottle, every jar, every tea, every butter, every oil, and every formula begins with one question:

How can I help another family the way I wanted to help my own?

That question has guided every product we've created, and it always will.
